Superyacht Electrics are a very difficult field of expertise when it comes to wiring up a modern Superyacht. Yacht electricians and dedicated companies do exist and when it comes to wiring during a new build or re-wiring a vessel during a refit calling on the expertise of one of these specialists is a recommended route to follow. Many refit yards have their own electricians on-site and are also capable of wiring in a new piece of equipment and quickly resolving many of the problems that can crop up during a cruise, and there are also superyacht electricians that are happy to fly to your aid wherever you are in the world. Many of today's very large superyachts will carry their own electrician on-board who will carry out a dual roll and are known as ETO's - Electronic Technical Officers.
